Our Whale bracelet was inspired by the many species of whales who call the vast oceans their home. This bracelet is made from blue and black faceted agate semi-precious stones.
Profits from this bracelet will benefit whale and ocean conservation around the world.
Whales can be found in all oceans of the world and are considered to be at the top of the food chain. Some can grow to massive sizes of over 100 feet like the blue whale, which is the largest known animal to live on earth. While seen as predators by many, these animals are also gentle giants in the water who communicate with beautiful songs. Some like the orca (who actually isn't a whale, but the largest member of the dolphin family) have highly evolved social structures. Most whales do not have to worry about many natural predators because of their size, but one thing all whales need to worry about is human encroachment on their seas. Pollution and illegal whaling are two of the top threats to whales. According to World Wildlife Fund, "six out of the 13 great whale species are classified as endangered, even after decades of protection."
