Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund International
Founded by Dian Fossey in 1978, the Fossey Fund is dedicated to the conservation and protection of gorillas and their habitats in Africa. All gorilla habitats are threatened an the Fossey Fund has a strong commitment to gorilla protection, science, field research, education and awareness, human health initiatives, and economic development.
Ewaso Lions conserves Kenya’s lions and other large carnivores by promoting coexistence between people and wildlife. Ewaso Lions uses sound science, education, and capacity building to foster support for conservation and help guide the long-term conservation management of lions in protected areas and on private lands.
Giraffe Conservation Foundation
The Giraffe Conservation Foundation (GCF) is dedicated to securing a future for all giraffe populations and (sub)species in the wild. Giraffes are only found in Africa and are an integral part of the African ecosystem.
Global Penguin Society
The Global Penguin Society (GPS) is dedicated to the survival and protection of the world´s penguin species, fostering integrated ocean conservation through science, management and community education.
International Rhino Foundation
The International Rhino Foundation (IRF) is dedicated to the survival of the world’s rhinos species through conservation and research. Every 8 hours another rhino is killed in South Africa. IRF protects particularly threatened rhino populations in the wild, while also supporting applied research that can help to improve the chances for long-term survival of all rhino species.
Okapi Conservation Project
The Okapi Conservation Project works in the heart of the Democratic Republic of Congo to protect the natural habitat of the endangered okapi and other species that live in the Ituri Forest. Many of these species re found nowhere else in the world.
Red Panda Network
The Red Panda Network is committed to the conservation of wild red pandas and their habitat through the education and empowerment of local communities. Red pandas are the only species of its kind in the world, their preservation is vital to global biodiversity.
Save the Elephants
Save the Elephants works to secure a future for elephants and to sustain the beauty and ecological integrity of the places they live. Led by elephant expert Dr. Iain Douglas‐Hamilton, their projects includes research and monitoring, protection, spreading awareness, and the Elephant Crisis Fund. Save the Elephants reduces conflict between humans and elephants and provides outreach around the world on elephants’ behalf.
Sea Turtle Conservancy
The Sea Turtle Conservancy is the world’s oldest sea turtle research and conservation group. It is the mission of Sea Turtle Conservancy to ensure the survival of sea turtles within the Caribbean, Atlantic and Pacific through research, education, training, advocacy and protection of the natural habitats upon which they depend.
Snow Leopard Trust
The Snow Leopard Trust builds community partnerships by using sound science to determine priorities for protecting the endangered snow leopard by understanding snow leopard behavior and habitat, listening to the community to identify needs, and seeking resources for sustaining long-term programs.
